City reflections, Piedmont Park

Last Tuesday was mine and my husband’s 18th wedding anniversary. We celebrated with a long city hike, an equally long conversation about the genetics of memes and pop culture, and dinner and Macbeth at the Shakespeare Tavern. 

Our relationship has been a “romance in conversation.” Sometimes, I think that’s what makes all the learning worthwhile. We are building a collective worldview like mushrooms and dendrites. We maintain our individuality yet interconnect in new ways every year. There is nothing more satisfying.
